The Republic P-47 Thunderbolt, also known as the Jug, was the largest single-engined fighter of its day, and a vast improvement over its predecessor. It was one of the main United States Army Air Force (USAAF) fighters of World War II. The Thunderbolt also served with a number of other Allied air forces. The P-47 was effective in air combat but proved especially adept in the ground-attack role. Its modern-day equivalent in that role, the A-10 Thunderbolt II, takes its name from the P-47.

I was very pleased to receive the Ortega P47 drawing that I ordered. It is so very nicely done and arrived fast and in great condition.
I have been disappointed the past two AirVenture shows (2015 & 2016) to find that Ortega's drawings were not at the Fly market like they used to be; so I decided to look for him online and placed my order there. I am very happy with my purchase and will have it hanging next to my other Ortega drawing purchase of a few years ago. Thank you.
