This 16 x 20 inch pencil illustration of Flying Officer R.A. "Dick Watson, this was 1 of 2 commission's pieces that I did for Fred Dunkeld who is the nephew of William T. Dunkeld. He had me do this piece along with his uncle's so that he could give it to the Watson family. Dick Watson & William Dunkeld served together in 440 Squadron in Holland and up to the time of William's death. Dick Watson later wrote a heart felt letter to the Dunkeld family telling them of William's death in combat. The pencil illustration was done on 3 ply bristol board smooth paper. R.A. "Dick" Watson passed away on 10 December 2010.
